KTM's Offroad Sports Director Pit Beirer announced at a press conference in Faenza Italy at the weekend that ten-times world motocross world champion Stefan Everts has signed as MX team boss for two more years. Everts joined the company at the beginning of the season to manage the MX factory riders and to instill in them some of his own rich experience gained in international racing. He originally signed for one year but will now continue his work for an additional two years.
"It was a very good year in 2007, especially with my relationship with Pit (Beirer)," Everts said at the press conference, "I only wanted to stay for one year but I have had a good time and now I have some great plans for working with the team during the next two years."
